The Group Schedule in Employee Scheduling Software

Posted by Brandy on May 31, 2013

The Group schedule is a beneficial staff schedule that lets you gather employees into 99 different groups in a convenient one- to seven-day format. This is a great way to view schedules by shift, department, location or any other type of multi-divisional report - all in a single view.

To get started click on the Reports menu in Visual Staff Scheduler and select Staff Schedules. Choose Group from the Staff Schedules options. You’ll be able to choose one or more groups for the schedule you would like to view.

You can choose to view scheduling data for one to seven days and can choose how many subsequent schedules you want to print. For example, if you would like to view a month of data you would enter a seven-day schedule for the number of days and four for the number of subsequent schedules.

The Group schedule can be as detailed as you’d like and can include employees’ position and on-call status, as well as the shift description, explanation description and abbreviations. You can even sort the list of employees in alphabetical order by name, position, shift, start time and explanation.
