Intuit Chooses Atlas Business Solutions Technology for New QuickBooks Business Planning Feature

FARGO, ND - January 8, 2003 - Atlas Business Solutions Inc., a leading provider of small business software, today announced that Intuit, a leading provider of financial management solutions for small businesses and accounting professionals, is using Atlas Business Solutions' Ultimate Business Planner® to power a new business planning feature in the QuickBooks® 2003 products.

This new feature - available in QuickBooks Premier 2003, QuickBooks Premier: Accountant Edition 2003, QuickBooks Premier: Contractor Edition 2003 and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions - gives users the power to:

• Produce a professional business plan using existing QuickBooks data
• Evaluate new business ideas and strategies quickly and thoroughly
• Project business financial outcomes before investing time and money
• Avoid costly business planning mistakes and oversight
• Communicate ideas clearly to potential investors
• Apply for business loans and lines of credit

QuickBooks Premier and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions users will be able to create a business plan, along with a 36-month financial projection. The user just answers simple interview questions about their existing QuickBooks data to create a projected balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and statement of cash flows in the format recommended by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Once the financial projection is finished, the user walks through a complete business plan outline with "plain-English" instructions, advice and how-to hints for writing the text portion of the business plan. The user simply enters his or her text and combines it with their projection to produce a comprehensive business plan.
